Historic Crail Ranch Museum

Explore the 1902 homestead of the Crail family and get a first-hand glimpse of what life was like as one of Big Sky’s first settlers. The preserved log cabin displays a rich collection of artifacts, photographs and documents relating to the area’s history, dating back to the Native Americans and fur trappers in the area before the Crails came along.

Music In The Mountains Summer Concerts

A local favorite, Music in the Mountains takes place in Town Center Park every Thursday evening from June thru August. Sponsored by the Arts Council of Big Sky, musical acts range from classical to country and everything in between. The concerts are free and begin at 7:00 p.m. Be sure to dine at one of the many restaurants before the music begins. This is a family friendly outing that allows the adults to mingle while the children can play safely in the park. View the summer schedule here.

Warren Miller Performing Arts Center

The Warren Miller Performing Arts Center (WMPAC), located in Big Sky’s Gallatin Canyon at Big Sky’s Ophir School campus, is a state-of-the-art facility that offers a winter season of National and International Acts and is ground zero for many local arts organizations and performing artists. It is a collaborative initiative of the Big Sky School District #72, the Friends of Big Sky Education (FOBSE) and the Big Sky Community. The WMPAC’s namesake, ski movie icon Warren Miller, and his wife Laurie spend half of their time in Big Sky and was named in honor of Miller in part due to his involvement in the community, and also because his legacy demonstrates a bridge between skiing and the arts. The WMPAC’s primary mission is to establish and maintain a clear and stable artistic infrastructure to grow a community of confident performers and inspired audiences.
